Robert J. Kim, MD

Robert J. Kim, MD is an Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine/NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital in New York City. He earned his bachelor’s degree in biochemical sciences at Harvard University and his MD degree at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. He completed his internal medicine residency at Duke University Medical Center and his cardiology fellowship at Weill Cornell Medicine/NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. He is the Director of Consultative Services for the Clinical Cardiology practice and cares for patients with coronary artery disease and its complications, valvular heart conditions, cardiomyopathies, and arrhythmias.

Dr. Kim was the Associate Program Director for the Cardiovascular Diseases Fellowship program of Weill Cornell Medicine from 2008 to 2022 and has been the Co-Course Director of the cardiovascular disease unit for first year medical students at Weill Cornell since 2008. He is the Course Director of the Cardiology Salzburg Seminar program of the Open Medical Institute and American Austrian Foundation and has taught seminars in Salzburg, Prague, Saint Petersburg, Mexico City, and Hanoi. He is the co-founder of the Quality Improvement Academy at Weill Cornell/NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, was selected as a member of the 2012 American College of Cardiology Foundation Emerging Faculty Program, and has been recognized for many years as a Top Doctor in Cardiology by Castle Connolly and in New York Magazine
